Kaizen is the Sino-Japanese word for “improvement.” It is a philosophy of continuous, incremental progress, a belief that we must always thrive for more, for better. This is not just our name; it is our ethos. Launched in 2011 by Sonali Chitale, our studio was founded on this very principle. We are a bespoke design collective dedicated to Interior, Product, and Landscape Design. We innovate beyond the conventional, generating one-of-a-kind spaces and products defined by superlative design skill, global trends, and the distinct individuality of our clientele.

With a foothold in both Singapore and Chennai, Sonali Chitale imbues the studio with a unique, dual perspective. Her design language is informed by a deep and abiding passion for natural materials, and she holds an immense appreciation for the profound talent of craftspeople and artisans across India.
Sonali leads every project with a personal touch, ensuring that client aspirations are not just met, but transcended. Her vision is to create a seamless synthesis of the local and the global, delivering timeless spaces that are both sophisticated and soulful.
